Create a space and share your review form
A space holds everything for one practice, firm or location: the review form, the reviews that come in and the widgets for your website. Here is how to create one and share the form.
TL;DR in 5 steps
- On "Your Spaces", click "New Space".
- Enter the name of your practice or firm and pick an accent colour.
- Create the space and open it by clicking its card.
- Under "Settings", set the "Space language" to "English" if your form should be in English.
- Copy the link at the top of the space navigation and send it to your clients.
What is a space?
In Mocha, a space is the home for one practice, firm, location or brand. Each space has its own review form with its own address, its own reviews, its own widgets and its own privacy settings. If you want to keep two locations apart, create two spaces.
Create the space
Click “New Space”
After signing in you land on "Your Spaces". Click "New Space" in the top right corner.
Choose the type, enter name, description and colour
First choose what you want to do: "Collect testimonials" (a review form with widgets) or "Feedback survey" (a score from 0 to 10 with a Net Promoter Score, nothing is published). You can't change the type later. What a survey can do is covered in feedback survey (NPS). This guide describes the review form.
Enter the name your clients know you by, for example "Parkside Physiotherapy". It appears on the form, in emails to reviewers and in the suggested consent text. Mocha also builds the address of your form from the name when the space is created, for example
mocha.de/s/parkside-physiotherapy.The description is optional. It shows on the space card in your dashboard and, depending on the layout, below the name on the form. The accent colour is used for the stars, buttons and background of the form and for your widgets. Changing it later and uploading a logo require Pro.
Open the space
Your new space appears as a card on the overview. Click the card to open it. On the left you now see the space navigation with the groups "Collect", "Form" and "Embed", followed by "Analytics" and "Settings". On smaller screens, open the navigation with the menu button in the top bar.
What a new space comes with
New spaces start with the settings below. You can change all of them at any time:
- Language: the form, thank-you page and emails to reviewers are in German, whatever language your dashboard uses. To switch to English, go to "Settings", set "Space language" to "English" and click "Save changes".
- Name display: reviewers appear with their first name and last initial, for example "Sabine K.". See name display.
- Approval: "Approval required" is off, so new reviews appear in your widgets straight away. Approving reviews explains how to change this.
- Consent text: Mocha suggests a text that reviewers confirm before sending. You can edit it under "Privacy" in the "Form" group.
- Notifications: you get an email for every new review, sent to your account address. To use a different address, enter it under "Settings" in "Notification email".
Share the form
The address of your form sits at the top of the space navigation. Clicking it opens the form in a new tab ("Open form"), and the copy icon next to it copies the link ("Copy link"). While a space has no approved reviews yet, its card on the overview also offers "Share link".
Send the link by email, add it to your signature or turn it into a QR code for your reception desk under "QR code". To show the form on your website, use the collection form. How to change its look and fields is covered in customising the form.
