What it does for you

Closer than any text

A short clip of a patient describing how he is back on the tennis court after rehab feels more personal than any paragraph of text. The Mocha player shows a preview image with stars and name underneath and only starts when someone presses play. Until then it loads just the essentials, so your page stays fast. Names follow your setting under “Privacy”, so they can appear as initials only or fully anonymised if you prefer.

Recording without the hassle

Plenty of happy clients would say a few words, but nobody wants to edit a video and send a file. In the Mocha form, reviewers simply tap “Record” instead of “Write” after choosing their stars and speak into the camera right in the browser, for up to three minutes, with no app and no account. Before sending, they watch the result and can re-record or trim it. Every video review, too, starts with consent to your text.

Place it on its own or let it run

Approved video reviews also appear in the review wall, the slider and the single review, as a card with a preview image and a play symbol; one click opens the video. To show a particular video in a particular place, such as the page for exactly that treatment, open the review's details under “Testimonials”. “Embed this video” gives you the code for that one video, which you paste into your page like any other widget.

Frequently asked questions

How do I embed a video review?

In the dashboard, open the details of the approved video review under “Testimonials”, either by clicking its excerpt or via “View details”. Under “Embed this video” you find one line of code for that video alone; copy it and paste it into your page as an HTML block. The code is only offered for approved video reviews.

How long can a video be, and do reviewers need an app?

A recording can be up to three minutes long. Reviewers record in the browser with the camera of their phone or computer and need neither an app nor an account. Before sending, they can watch the recording, re-record it or trim it.

Does the video player work on mobile?

Yes. The player takes the width of its area, up to 640 pixels, and plays the video right inside the page on a phone. It only starts when someone taps play.

How much do video reviews cost?

On the free plan, up to 3 video reviews can be approved at the same time. Further videos are stored and stay pending until you remove an approved video or move to Pro. Pro costs €19 a month with a 14-day free trial and has no limit on videos.

Where are the videos stored, and what about consent?

The application and database run on servers in Germany, while the videos themselves are stored by the EU provider Bunny.net. Before sending, reviewers confirm your consent text, and Mocha stores its wording, version and time. After a withdrawal the video disappears from every widget, including the embedded player, and recordings that were never sent are deleted after 24 hours.
