Slider

Reviews in rotation: a testimonial slider for your homepage

The slider shows one review at a time at full width and can move on by itself. It fits wherever there is room for just one card, such as your homepage or the space next to your booking button.

What it does for you

Lots of trust in little space

On a practice homepage, every inch competes with services, opening hours and the booking button. The slider needs the space of a single card and still shows all your approved reviews, one after another. Because each review uses the full width, the text stays easy to read on a phone as well. Visitors who want to read more can move on with the arrows or jump straight to a particular review with the dots underneath.

Your best first, at your pace

You decide which review opens the show: whatever you feature under “Testimonials” comes first, followed by the newest. Under “Layout” you set whether the slider moves on by itself and how long each review stays, from three to eight seconds. If visitors should only move on when they click, switch off “Autoplay”. Arrows and dots can be hidden separately, for instance when the slider sits in a narrow sidebar or below a contact form.

No more stale quotes

Plenty of websites have a slider with three quotes that someone typed in by hand years ago. The Mocha slider fetches its content from your space whenever the page loads: new approved reviews appear by themselves, and withdrawn ones disappear. You can use the same code on your homepage and on several service pages while maintaining just one list. The slider adopts your website's font, and the rest of your page layout stays exactly as it was.

Embed code

This is what the code looks like. Copy your own code with all your settings in the dashboard under “Embed” > “Widget” and paste it where the reviews should appear.

<script

  data-mode="slider"

Frequently asked questions

How do I add the slider to my website?

In the dashboard, open your space, go to “Embed” > “Widget” and pick “Slider” under “Choose a widget”. Once you have set “Appearance” and “Layout”, click “Copy code” and paste the code into your page as an HTML block. Step-by-step guides for WordPress, Elementor, Wix and other platforms are in our help section.

Does the slider work on mobile?

Yes. Each review uses the full width of the area the slider sits in, and long reviews expand with a tap. Visitors move through the reviews automatically or with the arrows and dots; swipe gestures are not supported.

Can I decide which review comes first?

Yes. Reviews you feature under “Testimonials” always come first, followed by the rest by date, newest first. The slider only shows approved reviews; with “Approval required” under “Privacy” you check every new review before it goes live.

How much does the slider cost?

The slider is included in the free plan, like every widget style, with up to 50 approved reviews and a small “Powered by Mocha” note. On Pro, at €19 a month with a 14-day free trial, the note goes, the number of reviews is unlimited and the slider uses your own accent colour.

What about GDPR and cookies?

The slider sets no cookies. For the statistics in your dashboard, Mocha counts views and clicks together with the page address and browser user agent, but stores no IP addresses. The reviews themselves come from the Mocha form, where every reviewer first agrees to your consent text; whether and how to mention the widget in your privacy policy is a question for your data protection adviser.
