Video and widgets: Senja is ahead here
On Senja, text and video together count towards 15 testimonials on the free plan, and there is no cap from Starter.[1] The pricing page also lists more than 20 widget templates and unlimited widgets, including on the free plan.[1] If you collect a lot of video and want to try many layouts, Senja gives you more room, and entry is from $29 per month (plan Starter, billed monthly).[1]
Senja imports Google reviews manually on every plan and syncs them automatically on paid plans only.[5]
For video, Mocha works like this: video reviews by recording or upload, 3 in the free plan, unlimited in Pro. There are fewer widget styles, including a review wall, a slider and a star badge.
Consent
Senja shows a consent text in every form by default, including on the free plan.[2] The person's choice is noted on the testimonial.[7] A log with a timestamp is not described in Senja's help centre.
Mocha stores the wording, the version and the time of consent for every review, and reviewers can withdraw it via a link. You export the log as a CSV.
Name display and language
According to its help centre, Senja currently has no built-in setting that makes testimonials anonymous; names can be edited by hand.[3] Mocha offers four levels from “Full name” to “Anonymous” and, at the stricter levels, hides photo and position publicly.
According to Senja's help centre, the platform is only available in English, while testimonials can be collected and shown in over 20 languages.[4] Mocha is available in German and English, and the public form follows the language of your space.
Server location
Senja names the United States as the place of processing in its privacy policy.[6] Mocha uses servers in Germany. For practices and law firms that process reviews from people in a health or legal context, this can be a selection criterion. Assessing the legal position is a matter for your data protection adviser.
