Mocha for Hotels & guesthouses
Guest voices on your own website, with consent from the start
Reviews of your house sit on booking portals and Google, but guests who book direct land on your own website. Mocha adds to the portals there, with guest reviews that every person agreed to before sending.
- Servers in Germany
- Consent with audit log
- No credit card needed

Sound familiar?
Many hotels and guesthouses will recognize these situations.
On booking portals and Google, the portal decides how your reviews look. On your own website, where direct bookings happen, there is often not a single guest quote.
On departure day it is all about luggage, invoice and room keys. The request for a review gets lost, and once guests are home it is forgotten.
Many guests are happy to praise you but don't want their full name online. And if you copy praise from a guest book or an email, you often can't tell later whether the person agreed to it.
How Mocha solves it
What changes with Mocha.
Consent before every review: wording, version and time are stored and can be exported as a log. Through a personal link, any guest can withdraw, and the review then disappears from your widgets.
Names the way your guests want them: full, first name with initial, initials only or anonymous. With initials or anonymous display, photo and job title stay hidden, and every guest can also hide their own name.
Google and your form in one place: you import reviews from your Google Business Profile into Mocha without retyping anything and show them next to the guest reviews from the form, marked “via Google”.
A QR code for reception and rooms: as a table stand, sticker or business card at check-out. One scan opens the form, and printed codes stay valid even if you change the form later.
An invitation after departure: invite guests by email, one by one or many at once, and see who has replied. Every invitation includes an unsubscribe link.
What this can look like
Departure day in the off-season
A small guesthouse by the woods, off-season, four couples leaving today. A table stand with a QR code sits at reception, a second one on the desk in each room, and at check-out every guest gets a business card with the code. Anyone who likes scans it, writes a few lines and agrees to publication before sending; one couple hides its name. The next day, the owner invites all of the week’s guests by email in one go. On the home page a guest quote stands large under the headline, and on a “Guest voices” page the new reviews appear next to the Google reviews she imported.
An example for illustration, not a customer case.

Frequently asked questions
Can I show my Google reviews too?
Yes. Mocha imports reviews from your Google Business Profile and shows them in the widgets next to the guest reviews from the form, marked “via Google”. You can do it by hand on any plan, and on the Pro plan it also runs automatically every day. Google only returns a small selection per request, chosen by Google, and imported reviews have no consent recorded in Mocha.
Does Mocha replace my reviews on booking portals?
No. Mocha adds to them on your own website and does not replace any portal. Mocha does not take over reviews from booking portals; only reviews from your Google Business Profile can be imported.
How do guests get to the form?
Through a QR code, for example as a table stand at reception, as a sticker or stand in the room, or as a business card at check-out. The form works on any smartphone. Printed codes stay valid even if you change the form later.
Can I invite guests by email after they leave?
Yes. You invite guests one by one or many at once and see in the dashboard who has replied. Every invitation contains an unsubscribe link. Whom you may contact and when is best checked with your data protection adviser.
Do guests have to appear with their name?
No. You set the name display to “Full name”, “First name and initial”, “Initials only” or “Anonymous”, and every guest can also hide their own name. New reviews appear immediately or only after your approval, as you set it up.
How does Mocha handle my guests’ data?
Before sending, every guest confirms the consent text, Mocha stores the wording, version and time, and consent can be withdrawn through a personal link. The application and database run on servers in Germany (Hetzner), and photos and videos are stored by the EU provider Bunny.net. For emails and AI features, the content they need is sent to service providers in the USA (Resend, Anthropic); the details are in the privacy policy. Mocha is not legal advice.
